Every camp is a small team you actually run.
KE Camps is the leading provider of summer camps for country clubs nationwide. Each location has a KE Camps staff team of one Camp Director and several Camp Counselors. Our staff are the backbone of our programs, so we pride ourselves on giving them an incredible amount of support.
We are looking for dynamic, fun, responsible, creative and dedicated team members for each location. If you love working with children, enjoy staying active and have endless energy, this is the job for you. Two roles, one goal
Additional positions such as Assistant Director, Group Leader, Specialist and Lifeguard may be available at some locations.
Camp Director One per location
The go-to person for all things camp at your club location. Our Camp Directors have real ownership over their camp programs and enjoy infusing their own creativity and talents into their weekly schedules, supported by the KE Camps year-round office all the way.
Qualities we look for
- Ability to help children grow in character, experiences and insights
- Knowledge and expertise in program planning
- Ability to lead a team
- Ability to guard the health and well-being of campers at all times
- Capable of sustaining energy for a full day of activities
- Ability to make decisions and adjust plans in real time
- Prior experience working with children in a leadership position
- Effective communication and public speaking
- Enthusiastic, responsible, dependable, consistent, level-headed, flexible and calm
- CPR/First Aid certified or willing to become certified before summer
Responsibilities
- Provide a fun, safe and exciting camp experience
- Supervise daily swim time hands-on, from within the water as needed (lifeguard certification not required)
- Work with and supervise counselors in a supportive manner
- Complete and submit daily and weekly administrative tasks electronically
- Greet families and campers on arrival and orient them to camp
- Establish rules and review emergency procedures
- Manage parent expectations at pick-up and drop-off
- Plan the daily camp schedule and activities; shop for supplies within budget
- Manage issues that arise, including camper behavior and parent concerns
- Check in with the KE Camps office to update them on your camp
Camp Counselor Several per location
An active participant in all camp activities, assisting the Camp Director with daily tasks. Counselors interact with campers throughout the day, helping them make friends, try new things and generally caring for their well-being while ensuring the physical and emotional safety of every child.

- Help where needed and lead activities when asked
- Complete other duties as assigned
